We listen. Carefully.

Client-Centered Approach

One size doesn’t fit all. That’s why we custom-design our professional development (PD) services according to the specific needs of each client. Our FREE initial consultation lets us contextualize training content and learning materials, so training participants will find each session relevant to their job. Yes, we listen to you very carefully - That is key to engineer a successful PD experience!

philosophy

increased engagement

Through our professional development services, we hope that our clients not only find solutions to their challenges but also improve their overall workplace wellness. We believe that an effective professional development session will increase engagement among organizational members. An increase in engagement, if directed efficiently, will boost staff productivity.  In turn, higher staff productivity would revitalize the office energy and optimize workplace wellness. We, as change agents, strive to help jump-start this process by asking you insightful questions, which will make you stop and reflect on everyday practices.

EXPERTISE

VARIOUS TRAINING METHODS

Our sessions are not hypnotic. Why? It’s because we never rely on a top-down lecture. We are trained and experienced to design and facilitate highly interactive sessions so participants will voluntarily stay alert. The methods we incorporate include: Active/Experiential Learning, Inquiry-based Learning, Cooperative Learning, Visual learning aids, Simulation games, and Cross-cultural training exercises. These methods help us communicate and deliver our services in more personable fashion.  Personable sounds more inviting, don’t you agree?

RESEARCH-BASED CONTENT KNOWLEDGE

We are knowledgeable about and have experience conducting research studies regarding Intercultural Competencies and Communication, Multicultural Education, and Strategic Management. We are well prepared to introduce practical and research-based concepts and theories to tackle various workplace challenges.

KUNIKO (KUNI) YASUTAKE, M.A.

Co-founder, Principal Consultant

I am an Intercultural Communication and Engagement specialist and am originally from Tokyo, Japan. I feel fortunate to have been able to build my consulting practice for 10 years in this country! I owe this achievement to my wonderful clients, and am grateful for their support. Assisting professionals in a culturally diverse workforce is not an easy task, but I find it very stimulating and rewarding. Prior to my consulting career, I worked for for/non-profit businesses in both Japan and the U.S. I draw real-life cases from my own cross-cultural experiences and observations, and am very happy to hear that clients think of such stories as interesting ingredients of my sessions. I LOVE my job, and I’m sure designing and facilitating professional development services will never get old for me.
